Couple of questions that I am stuck on before I start building my 6 bolt. looking for around 400ish HP with option of going higher down the road if needed.

I received this engine with a spun bearing, the crank got polished and Im going to bore .20 over and have the engine tanked before i throw some Wiseco/Eagles in. My question is since it spun the bearing should i replace the oil front case or the gear or both? Dose the case actually wear out if no signs of damage?

Any one using the JM fab "street" SMIM? I really like the looks of these and i just want a good street car not anything that will win word records

Will my 1G throttle body be ok with this intake or should i upgrade that as well?

Going to "throw some eagles/wisecos in"

Was the block honed before you bought the pistons? Did the shop your PTW for your build?

Polished the crank that spun a bearing, ok any idea of what the shaft specs are?

Pull the oil pump gears out of the front case, if you have scoring or gouges in it.. pitch it in the scrap pile and get a new one.

If it is smooth and looks good, check your clearances of the oil pump gears, if they are good carry on.

Only thing done so far is the polishing, The cylinders had more taper that allowed so I am going to have it bored but I haven't done any machining yet. I am just trying to get the parts and do a lot of research before I start. The crank was within spec. I don't have the number on me, I didn't see any damage to the oil pump I didn't know or even look for the spec for the shaft. I will take a look.

Eh, usually the crank may need a cut when spinning a bearing. Ultimately depends on how long the previous owner ran it with a bad bearing. I am super cautious when it comes to my oil pumps. If the history is unknown, I get new. That's just me.

So I recently had oil leak from an unknown source. Upon cleaning everything I thought it was the cam shafts seals and VC gasket so I got oems with same issues. Upon cleaning up everything I didn't reassembled everything back. I installed the t belt and balance shaft belt turned the engine over not a sound. Waited for the normal temp to reach I noticed a puddle of on the floor. engine mount was off but leveled with a floor jack I saw engine running awesome with small stream of oil coming from behind the auto tensioner for the t belt I shut off the engine oil continued leaking for a few minutes. I made screen shot from jafromobile's youtube vid

Did you seal the front BS tensioner bolt?

That one is a known oil leak bolt.

I commonly seal all the bolts on the inside of the front cover.

Right now I have no idea. All I know is that the oil was coming from the auto tensioner bolt hole for the timing belt. Not the balance shaft. The lower left bolt hole where I circled. I ordered new seals and gaskets im not sure if should order the oil pump gears too. I haven't token it apart yet either. My Oil pressure never really suffered. Never too high or low. I did do a tear drop oil port mod when I rebuilt the Top end last year. And worked out great!!!

No I didnt. I didn't see any of that part during my research for my rebuild. So i didn't seal any of my front case bolts either. I didn't touch it because it wasnt leaking from that area at the time of the rebuild.
