How much can I expect to pay for this mod..? It sounds time consuming, and that to mean sounds expensive.

You will also learn quick that just throwing money at thing that you dont need to will burn up cash real quick.
What you should do is drive your car and have fun with it. Save money for a 6 bolt ot buy the parts to build one. If you 7 bolt takes a shit them you will already have a 6 bolt ready to go.
boostedinaz said:Not that easy, sorry.
Aikouka said:Not that easy? Try not possible. The 6-bolt and 7-bolt cranks have different lengths and journal sizes. Just swap the whole block. I just took a picture that physically compares both crankshafts, and I circled where the differences are.
Race94 said:I want to do this too but i am slightly confused, i am getting a complete 6-bolt block with all components and i am buying a 1g CAS apart.
What do i need other than that??
I know machining the head to fit 6-bolt block bolts
Is $650 a good price for a mechanic to do the work?
turbolarry said:I think he ment putting on his 2g head on a 6bolt block and crank. I've been thinking along the same lines recently and foud this;
Race94 said:sorry to be an arse but if i want to put in a complete 6-bolt in i would just need to modify the mount and wire the CAS right?
Also why don't any of those tutorials say anything about machining the head to fit 6-bolt block studs??
