2G 5spd Gurus Need Your Input

Not extremely familiar with rebuilding the 5spd transmissions, I destroyed my 1st gear and input shaft on a launch..

It seems the broken gear pieces chewed up the cases were the input shaft end bearing seats, should I just replace the whole bell housing assembly as well as the input shaft and 1st gear?

Yes. If you've chewed up the transmission casing/bell housing, you can't replace that metal. And it it's where the shafts seat in the casing, you may never know if the holes are centered properly and will have wear on the new gears etc.....

Where is the case chewed up? All I see is a chewed up bearing
