Does anyone know if there are any cars that came with 550cc or 660cc injectors from the factory that will fit in a 90 Turbo? I work at an auto parts store, so I could probably get the injectors really cheap..

Evo's 560 I believe. I bet an internet search would work well.

Yes, EVO 8s came with 560s. They're what I'm currently running until I can upgrade them (they probably don't like me very much right now).

Hey, Hows that evoIII working out for you? Your making pretty good power on it. Anything you dont like about it? Ill be buying a turbo here quicker than I expected due to some unexpected money comming in :sneaky: gotta love that. Also the Devils own water injection...I spoke to chance over there I believe it was about 4 months ago and they were just moving to denver. How do you like that kit and whick one did you get?

The knockoffs are rated for the same power. The only question is whether they are as reliable. The GT uses different materials and fabrication methods for some of the parts, which could arguably call its structural integrity and life expectancy into question.

Check out Turbochargers.com and they have the real knock off...WTF If that makes sence. NO ONE can tell you how the GT is in the long run since, compared to the MHI turbo's track record, its practically non existant. The GT from TC.com is appealing because of the "factory upgrades" 34mm and the standard port-standard is sweet because it keeps the port's results with the strength of an untouched turbine housing. If it were me, I'd probably go with the MHI and then 10 years down the road is I see someone who got their GT in 2006 and its still pulling hard...then maybe Ill reconsider, but by then I hope to be on to bigger better things. GoodLuck and thanks again DonMajicJuan, keep me posted.

Well I already do have the gt, and i'm very pleased with it. My shop ported it and now its tuned to 19 psi daily. The turbo holds till redline and pulls like a champ. I'd put money down that I can outflow any MHI 16g.

the evo GT is a copy of the EVO3, so id hope it would outflow a 16g.

or are you talking about an Off the shelf MHI evoIII??? then again, your shop ported it and junk. so yea, youd out flow that too.

how bout compare to a Identical ported and did up evoIII MHI 16g, like the topic origionally discusses.

See, that's what I want to go with, but then not many people have them. I dont mind spending the extra money to get a superior part. I was seriously thinking of going to a full garrett, its just that my 90 eclipse has 182,000 miles on it. I just rebuilt the head due to that $10 balance shaft belt breakin and making out with the timing belt. The walls dont have any wear and my cylinder pressure is 153 - 156 all the way across.

The guy who had it before me was like really broke and used fram oil filters and wal-mart oil. He had to replace the head once, what he did was get a head from a junk yard for $40 and a head gasket. He knows these motors well, but damn..wal-mart oil..

I replaced everything that was worn. Complete timing kit, tensioner, pulleys, belts, water pump, all gaskets and o-rings..ect.. Everything that was worn is new except for the bottem end. The pistons got nicked, but I think.. hope they will hold up, cause damn I dont wanna pull that head again.

Read before you speak.
LOL- Wasn't Taiwan owned by China until not long ago? Well, nevermind that everything else I stated was accurate, e.g. the powder metallurgy compressor housing that hasn't been through enough long-term testing to merit any real credibility, because obviously I have no idea what I'm talking about. Was it made in China? I guess not. Is it still a cheap knockoff? Absolutely. Did I ever suggest that it wouldn't produce the same power as an MHI E3 16G? No. You're making a mountain out of a molehill, and a completely off-topic molehill at that.:notgood:

And you can bring your GT 16G over for a "flow contest" any day of the week.

Yea, probably shouldn't stay off-topic, but if you talk to the Chinese. They will still claim that "Taiwan" is still part of China. Good times in the international community.

Back on topic. Being that I don't like to waste the money I earn. I would choose the proven turbo [evoIII 16g] over the cheaper unproven GT. Generally you get what you pay for.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm just so sick of trying to defend a turbo that can hold its own and the only reason people second guess it is because of how people have bad-mouthed it. I'm not here to win a court case I just want to make it clear that this isn't a cheap-ass ebay made paperweight.
