Rather than necromancing an old threads I figure I'll ask my question in a new one. There are the 89-92 6G64 and the 92+.

I've got a 91 MMM and I'm trying to get everything together for a build. I'm currently focusing on the internals. I need to know if I can just buy some forged pistons or if I need to pick up rods too. I found some Wiseco Pistons that claim to be for a 4g64 with 4g63 head. WISECO PISTONS MITSUBISHI 4G64 WITH G63 HEAD 21MM PIN : eBay Motors (item 310161596385 end time Apr-09-10 16:44:58 PDT)

1) Do both of these engines have the big Rods or is it just the earlier?

2) Are they 6-bolt or 7-bolt cranks?

Edit: found the Piston Information. Still looking for an answer on the rods.

For the future searchers here's the PN for the Wiseco Pistons:

I'm almost certain that the Mighty Max 2.4 was a 7 bolt, but you might want a second opinion. My buddy has one, but he hasn't torn it down yet so I can't say for certain.

I was going to suggest checking out mightyd50.com, but apparently it's shut down. It's a shame, there was a lot of good info there
