Ok so i was just curious if any one with a N/A 4G63 has ever tried to use 4G64 intake manifold. it seems like it would be a good manifold for low end n/a torque. however the tb opening dose face the opposite side of the engine. so just was wondering if this has been done or attempted. It seems like it could be doable and that you would see some good low end gain from this because of it's individual equal length intake runners. I was not sure and could not find a thread on it. so if you have tried or know some one who has tried or if anyone has done this mod I'd like to hear from you if not let me know what you think.

I apologize for the duplicate thread however i did delete that one before making this one hoping a new title might get better responses.

Also thank you for your response. however this dose not actually answer my question i was more or less just curios to see as to whether it had been done and what kind of gains if any would come from using this manifold. Going turbo may be in may be in the talons future but then again an n/a build would be different and fun.

And as stated before n/a builds are a lot of $ and turboing a n/a is expensive as well. But if you have the funds go for it. I liked my n/a talon never had a turbo dsm but it was fun to drive.Good luck man and if you do it let me know how it goes.

I'm confused, your profile says you have a turbo car?

You probably wouldn't see or feel any real gains by switching manifolds.

yes i currently have a turbo car,. i am getting a n/a talon soon an was just curios about different mods and doing some very different things with my n/a as opposed to doing the same old things that have been done over and over. sorry about the confusion i guess i should have stated this before.:thumb:

i want to say if its of a 16v 4g64 it should bolt on(at least that's how the exhaust manifold is)... i am going to check some part numbers and post..

edit: the gaskets part numbers are NOT identical, which means there is at least a slight difference. it might still work but....

I guess I'll have to check out the gaskets before anything else. However the difference is probably the port size from manifold to head. this will be very interesting to take a step in uncharted territory. I'll post when i find out anything new.

Maybe you can have a manifold fabricated from scratch with the 4G64 specs to fit on a 4G63...seems the easier route... - DSM

That's not a bad idea. thanks for the tip man. i think this kind of mod would either see gains in low end torque or possibly just move the torque band down a few hundred rpm. it will be cool to see what happens.
