4G64 in a 97 GSX

Sigh my roommate wrecked my 91 Mightymax so now I have a 6 bolt 4G64 Before I try to slap a 4G63 head on it are there any hidden troubles I am going to encounter? Like is the front case the same? The one on the 64 was broken ( oil filter and fitting snaped off). Any help would be apreciated. I f I don't respond quickly forgive me I have to get online at the local library till I get internet at my house again.

Do a search, there is a ton of information on the swap. You will need to rebuild and drop the compression ratio to something more reasonable. The front case cannot be swapped from a 4g63 to a 4g64.
