I would not advise to use anything for a build from that set.
Except, gaskets, waterpump, rings, valve stem seals.
FrontCase and oil pump go OEM.
Timing belt go OEM.
Timing Pulleys OEM

I have scene them cheap ones wiggle and almost seperate on engines.

Those are nippon pistons and rings, and acl or king bearings. These are actually pretty high quality kits. The oil pumps are not too bad if you measure the clearances to make sure that they are in spec. The water pumps are a little cheap, and i wouldn't touch the timing belt.

Yea I wasn't sure on the bearings. Or the pistons for that matter.

I did hear around that aft mkt front cases did have a fitting issue, and to avoid any aft mkt oil pumps.

But if you have used them with no issue I'll take your word for it, I usually use OEM stuff.

I have only used evergreen once on a rebuild well head gasket job. Got the entire top end kit for like $50 and the headgasket was actually a Felpro. So every green has some good stuff but on a rebuild like this im not sure about the oil pump. But the waterpump you could probly get away with.

Kits like this are used by the thousands by rebuilders. If your goal is a reliable, stock-type rebuild then you will be fine. If you plan to use a kit like this to use in an engine with increased boost, high RPM, etc. then consider using some upgraded parts.

Yeah I've been hearing good shit about that kit, which is what I have, minus the pistons.... Glad this came up cause I was worried. However all the Nippon pistons I find claim 7-2 comp. Mine came with ACL Bearings.

ok, well as an update I am in between this kit and the one extremepsi.com sells. Both are around the same price dollar wise. I am unsure of what i want to do with the talon at this moment, i started a complete tear-down of the 7 bolt today but unfortunately due to being on an extreme budget, i am sticking with the stock 7 bolt rebuild for now, then maybe i will spring for the 6 bolt head later on down the road. Anyone have any preference between the amazon kit vs. the extremepsi kit?
