You're gonna have to search for that one, like anyone will tell you, anything can be done, its just it will require some fabrication, money, time, and patience, if you have those 4 plus the parts you will need, then go for it, get a researching and get going.

u would have to turn the motor and get a diff tranny fabricated probley.. custom motor mounts.. its possible im sure, just a lil time and money.. my friend is working on a v6 swap in his datsun 210 and has it in and running and is working on the turbo kit now.. plans to run 10's all motor

Buschur racing makes adapter plates for the 4g63 to sbc transmissions, You can then contact Granny's Speed Shop and they can make the motor mounts for you. No customization to the transmission tunnel is required. It's really not to bad. You could probably do it all for under a grand minus motor and tranny. p.s. the tunnel is big enough stock to accommodate a t-56 (corvette tranny)

There are all kinds of adatper bell housings out there, a popular one is a 2jz paired with a turbo 400 trans. The new genesis coupe has the same engine as the evo X mounted longitudinally and the car is RWD.

A couple of my buddies from MD have done a 4G63 swap in an old RX7 (1984, possibly). I think the total investment for the job is somewhere in the $300 region....free car, junkyard engine, and some misc items.

The giant truck turbo sitting on the manifold in the first pic is definitely for laughing purposes only.

They wired up a 2G ECU and harness, and are tuning with DSMLink. They MADE an adapter plate to mount the 4G63 to the stock RX tranny. The original plan was to put the engine into a late '80s or early '90s S10 truck, but you can't beat a free car!

The car made a pass down the track at the end of last season, but the front crossmember they manufactured broke just past the 1/8th mile. At the 1/8th, I think the timeslip said it was going 83mph.

If everything plays out as planned, you'll see this car at the DSM Shootout this year.

anyone else but me think those look pretty darn nice for the money? i'm tempted to see what i could get one for if i traded in my gst...

once at a show by me i saw a rx7 with a vette engine, and another with a sr20. i always thought a last gen rx7 body with a 4g63 would be sweet... an 89 would be nice too!

Its the same engine basically, but with different head componenets/fuel system/turbo/intercooler system. But its still very mod friendly, the track edition comes in at 26k fullly loaded with 6 speed, brembos and a 3200lbs curb weight. Not bad

Swapping strange engines into cars is always cool, in person i have seen these cool swaps 240sx with an ls1, rx-7 with a ls7/ls1/ls2, bmw m coupe with a built ls2, s2000 with a 2jz, miata with a built 5.0, old celica with a built 5.0, late 90s saturn made RWD with a 350 in it. Im sure i have seen more but those are just off the top of my head

This has been done because a person brought his to the Buschur Shootout in 2008. I will find the pics on their site and post a link hopefully tonight.

the op is from 2007. i love this idea i especially love the first gen rx 7 i owned one in high school

I got to see MAPerformances car at the Shootout this past year also but that is not the one I am talking about. The guy I am talking about is coltboostin like was stated before me. He showed up at the Shootout but when he pulled to the line he was leaking fluid so he didn't get to make a pass. it is a Turbo II RX-7. He is from Cleveland, OH.

Like stated before this is an OLD thread and JP (coltboostin) finished the car in 2007.
