Are you talking about a 420A engine?

or is there really a 4g63 engine Non Turbo'd? D:

Even if the valves are bent a head rebuild isn't that much and would be worth it if you ever plan on upgrading cams or anything.

Ok let me ask this with out anyone judging me!

If you find a N/T 4G63 engine , can it be turbo'd to make it a 4G63T engine? or would the engine be considered like the 420A?

If you put turbo pistons in it and bolt all the turbo parts to it than yes you have a 4g63t, which is nothing like a 420a.

Whoa, I think not. There are many more differences.

As for the internals of the engine, the pistons are the only difference, and the lack of oil squirters, which are proven to be not necessary. The crank is the same, the rods are the same, the oil pump is the same, the head is the same, the cams are slightly different but will work for a turbo engine. So yes if you put turbo pistons in a non turbo 4g63 than you will have the same engine with the lack of oil squirters. Note that i also said bolt the turbo parts to the engine which would include the manifold, oil pan, turbo, oil and coolant lines, oil filter housing, intake manifold, throttle body, injectors and knock sensor.

Thanks for all that info, learned something new today! ;D :thumb:

Looks like I will just buy a turbo'd 2g Eclipse instead of doing all that work :D

Sounds simple enough ive seen more 2gs for sale than 1gs in the area where i live, picked up a 98 2g gsx for two thousand bucks. Good shape, older persons car.

Ooh dude, come down to my area, you will find them in junkyerads all day.
