You need mounts and shift linkage if your gonna put a B16 into a CRX. You cant use the same mounts, and using the same transmission is rediculous. Me and my buddy are working on a swap right now, and if we could we would.... but we can't.

have you ever sat in a crx with a b16 running thats alot of motor for that car it shakes the whole thing if you get crappy mounts and linkage they brake rattle and that means more money. If you dont have good mounts your car shakes so much that its like riding a harley!

My good friend has a 2000 Civic DX Coupe with an 'LS' motor swap (he says LS, that's a B18 right?, but I know for sure its w/o VTEC) and a Turbonetics T3/T4 all for around 6000 installed (did much work himself) Also put Quaife LSD in himself. The motor internals are completely stock. On 10lbs of boost, his personal best is 12.7 @ 1XX (I think between 105-110) with full race slicks and traction was still a problem. I think its pretty reasonable for about 7K of work.

yes i have. The point that I was commenting on was that you said he had custom shift linkage and custom motor mounts. I was wondering why would he go custom...those swaps are so simple to do especially with the HASport mounts.

If you are looking for hatch Power ,why not run a 89 mirage w a 4G63t.Or a hyundai Excel w/ 4G63t or an old (87) mirage Turbo w/ 4G63t.The swaps are bolt-in and only need a mix of Mitsubishi parts.I have done the two Mirages but not the Excel(yeat).Hondas are a dime a dozen even w/ B16 There are alot of them.Better yeat ,try a 2002 Hyundai Accet 1.6 dohc and drop in a 2.0 Tibron motor then get turbo.That would be nasty fast.

If I ever wanted to do a fwd car that would be the route I would choose because I am comfortable with DSMs, it would make a recockulous sleeper etc. But at the end of the day the Honda is always going to be lighter and with proper tuning and the right parts Hondas can make power.

I have a friend had a 92 Civic Hatch and put in a H23 with just some little mods like exhaust, header, intake. and he went 8.43 in the 1/8th on street tires.. so it would have went a little bit faster on slicks cause he spun out of the whole kinda bad... and No i do not hate on Hondas gor my everyday driver i am gonna buy a hatch and put in a B16 just for something fun to drive around everyday

if you really want to put the DSM motor in a civic there is a company that makes tranny adapters for all sorts of cars, I remember reading this a year or so back in a kit car magazine, yes it will be a pain in the ass but I can look the company up for you if you want

Ok, why put a 4g63 in a Civic anyway? Honda makes a 2.0l 16v. Torbo/supercharge that. It will be a good engine, alot easier to do, and cheaper than putting in a Mitsu motor.

If you must, of course, by all means, go ahead. I, for one would be interested in the results.

And for gods sake!! Hondas have their good points, Mitsus have thiers, Mustangs, Camaros, Porsches, Lotuses, even fr1g11n Hyundais have good and bad features!!!

yeh 240s are nice...import 4cyls I have respect for are the 4g63 (of course ), sr20det...what I would tell your bro to swap cause they are basically as indistructable as the 4g63, 3sgte, and H22...I like the new K20 and 2zzge also but their higher compression makes them much harder to turbo, same with the b18c5. I don't know anything about the rex engine...but I guess theyre good too.

If Toyota ever makes a 2zzg"t"e then I'd buy the Celica for sure, That was the car I was gonna get but it just cost to much and doesn't have much room for improvement in speed. I love the way the 7thgen Celicas look.

I feel like I'm forgetting an engine? But yeh...I skipped from the first to the last page...and now seeing that he has a 240...if he puts a sr20det in there and has a bigger turbo...daymn he could give you a run for your money *maybe* I don't know what you got
