4g61 head on 4g63 block

hey i was thinking about swapping this 4g61 head on my 4g63 block?? any thoughts on this? i bought a car with a blown head gasket 1990 laser fwd turbo,was gonna get the 2.0 head redone but 500+ bucks doesnt fit my budget, i paid 500 for the whole car... i have a 4g61t complete longblock in my garage from a old build my friend never did and gave me the motor. so i was thinking about porting out the 1.6 head to port match for the 2.0 intake manifold side.and will my 1g cams work in the 1.6 head?. also the the compression will bump up a bit. let me know what you guys think thank you

That head is just about exactly the same as the 2.0 except the ports. I also think the exhaust cam is different from the 61 exhaust cam but the intake cams are the same...can't remember exaclty but go to 4g61t.org and it'll tell you in there. Good luck.

Did you ever make the switch?
I am very interested on this but with a 2g head.

In case you want to part with the 4g61 engine I would be interested in it.
