I've been on the market for a good turbo kit to install on my N/T Talon and decided to go with the Star kit. Sadly, it's not as easy to find this kit with the 60-1 Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo. I've been looking for it and found it on one site but I'm not sure if it's the 60-1 or the smaller turbine (I'm going to ask them myself so there's no need for you to answer that).

What I did want to know is if this is the Star kit under a different name or if it's just an extremely similar kit minus the fuel pump.

Also wanted to ask you guys if venting your wastegate to the atmosphere was considered "ricey" or if that's just the BOVs?

Also, if someone happens to have the a link to an online store that sells the Star turbo kit it would be very appreciated if you would post the link.

Thanks in advance.

Alot of people will agree that the Treadstone turbo kits are just the basic of a Star kit. I haven't seen a Star kit in a while and I don't know if they make them anymore. The thing with the Treadstone kits that I have seen is that they needed additional parts to complete the install as far a fuel system goes. Venting your wastegate to the atm is not ricer imo but then again its not ricer imo to vent the bov unless you want/need the extra piping to help keep big turbos spooled when shifting.

venting a BOV to atmosphere is only "ricer" if your car came with a BOV that was vented, and needs to recalculate the air coming off it.

Venting the wastegate dump tube is definately not ricer (at least IMO) because when you here it, it sounds nothing like an import....it really depends if you yourself like the sound you get when your at full boost and its open, and if you like how it drowns out your oppontets engine. I've had it dumped, recirced, and then currently dumped again, and I'm pretty indifferent.

Get the treadstone kit if your have to have a turbo kit. Cheaper, than most, and doesn't require that much to make it a full kit. The star intercooler is aight, but I'm looking to upgrade it now that I"m over 12psi of boost.....I think its hindering my cars performance. Treadstones intercooler looks to the job.
