420a to 4g63 ?

I'm aware that this is the wrong section, but since I have fewer than 30 posts and cannot post in that section.so i have got 2g eclipse rs n/t 1995 and i have got evo 4 engine 4g63 rs 1996.gearbox.ecu,....etc. i wanted to do a swap mainly because when i did some research you cant get a lot of power of 420a ...anyway i want to stick with the swap so engine is in the same position as evo4 but the two mounts will need to be pushed forward and the trany awd is bigger
So it doesnt fit! Is here any gearbox fwd that will fit on evo 4 engine 4g63??
Please do not tell me to buy gsx or gst because it will be cheaper ...

Since the evo4 is in the same orientation as the 420A that solves one issue. Motor mounts will have to be fabbed, so will the wiring harness, cooling, Intercooling, and possibly trans mount.

Contact Sheptrans, they are a vendor on this site, and can probably point you in the right direction regarding axles, spindles, and which trans will actually adapt to your engine.

This swap would actually be easier if you had a wrecked evo8, 9 since everything would be available.

Good luck, and post pics as well as a write-up of the build. It would be nice to see someone actually finish one.

If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't do it. It's not a swap that many experienced people would even think of trying. Search the site for other threads in the same vein. You'll see most people don't follow through on their swap ideas.
