420a Rebuild Kit question (sizes)

Spun a rod bearing, and i am just ordering a rebuild kit for my DD.

What size pistons, rings, main and rod bearings is recommended? What do they refer too?

The car will be just my DD for now because of the standard rebuild kit. Every now and then i would like to push it. but not too often

Youre better off to find a running 420a. Once you spin a bearing in a motor it is a ticking time bomb. Did you spin a rod or a main? The sizes of the bearings refer to if the crank or rods have been ground down due to spinning. Which, depending on what you spun, you will have to have done.

The size of the piston refers to if the walls have been bored out due to damage.

The damage from the bearing material running through your whole engine means you need to fully rebuild/clean the block and then use oversized bearings. All of which equal a "never the same" engine. Much easier to find a running longblock being a 420a.
