2G 420A Head replacement...help

Hi I have a 96 eclipse rs manual and the head got damaged so I found another head from a 98 eclipse rs automatic. Will it fit my eclipse?

Yes. The transmission being different doesn't matter, so long as it's the same engine. You could even use the head from a GS trim model.

Any 420A head will bolt to any 420A block. Even the early 95's used the same cylinder head. All powertrain revisions were mostly with the electrical components and emissions output. Heads and blocks are all the same.
