I'm in the process of rebuilding my head, and would like to know which valve guides I should get. Partsdinosaur sells the guides I need for 2.29 per, which comes out to 40 bucks or so, then PEP (makers of my valves) offer them for like 80. The difference is one is iron and the other is brass. Looking for some guidance, so please help me out.

i have heard some bad things about the brass valve guides concerning how soft of a medal they are, i have a set of brass guides in my chevy and i would not get them again but that is my opinion. If it were me i would spend the money and get the iron guides.

... the iron guides are significantly less expensive... :-\
