420a compression check

I've read a bunch of different threads seeing whats good and bad on compression check. I did mine, was more on the cold side because my timing is a bit off and I wanted to make sure I wasnt wasting my time changing the timing belt on a bad engine but my numbers were as follows:

1: 159
2: 155
3. 152
4: 151

Seems like I should be ok with this correct?

a stock healthy motor should be around 180 but if your timing is off then that could be why your a little lower and you did it cold. i would put on a timing belt kit if thats what you need then retime it and check your compression again.

Sounds good. I plan on rebuilding a different 420a and tranny over the course of the year as a project and throwing it in maybe may 2014 but ill go ahead and get a belt on it and warm it up and check it again.
