My stock clutch is starting to slip pretty bad at 85k on my 95 gsx. I would estimate in the next year i will have the bolt ons, and supporting mods to be around 300-350whp so i want a clutch that could hold that power. I have had the Fidanza 4.3 with the Fidanza Aluminun Flywheel and didn't really like it, it seems to always chatter even afater break in, and wasn't as streetable as i had hoped. Since this is my DD i want something very streetable, i have heard about the Kevlar South Bend discs with the ACT 2600lbs PP does that sound like it may meet my goals?

There is always the XTD stage 4 clutch kit on eBay. 6 puck unsprung carbon kevlar, on a 2300lb pressure plate. The user bastarddsm has used that clutch up to 604hp.

I have it in my GSX. Very streetable in my eyes. A 2600 is stiff compared to
The XTD.

Thanks for the replies, tough decision to make.. I also want to upgrade any relevant parts while i have the tranny dropped. So far i have the Master and Slave to be rebuilt and a SS clutch line. What other parts make sense to replace while doing this job? I will probably have English Racing do it since i could never get the adjustment right.

Looks about right. I wouldn't replace the master/slave on a whim but if they are leaking (internally-OR-externally) I would. If you are getting ARP flywheel bolts you won't need to replace them again but be sure to follow the service manual on the tightening sequence/torque and put RED thread locker on them. Also a good idea to chase the crank with a tap to clean out any crap left in threads. Take note that the new SS line will likely be about 1-2ft longer than you need (I just coiled the extra behind my battery).

Yes, I have used the XTD to about 550whp where it started to slip. It's a copper ceramic 6 puck. It's cheap, durable, and holds well. It's also grabby, chattery, noisy.

Unless your going to be drag racing and need to go rounds, stay with a street disc.

Cool thank you all for the suggestions, still stickin with the 2600PP and Kevlar street disc from south bend.
