will a 4-1 mess with my low end torque or should i just save up a bit more and get the 4-2-1

i have been doing some research 4-1 high end

and the 4-2-1 low end

but the question is that the 4-2-1 improves low end but will the 4-1 decrease low end or will it be about the same

and how much high end power will the 4-1 improve

Aside from all that mumbo-jumbo I have 4-1 AND a 4-2-1. With the 4-1 I felt the engine really jump at about 4200RPM but the current 4-2-1 doesn't do that. No sudden surge in power. So I'm going back to the 4-1. Plus the 4-2-1 is somewhat louder, with a full exhaust to me thats no bueno.

Really, your not going to feel any power difference with a header. It will just allow the exhaust to flow a bit better. Depending on the rest of your exhaust, it might just be restricted elsewhere and really not have much of a purpose.

where does it really get restricted at

im trying to find some coilovers to lower my car a good 1.5 inches i dont have any where near 700 to spend but i have more the 60 dollars for the ebay ones im in the price range of around 250

anybody have any good websites or brands for coilovers for around my price range give or take 50

I had a 4-1 OBX header probably 5 years ago before I went turbo. I can tell you that I DID feel a very slight difference. When i say slight, I mean the only real thing I could tell was that say if I was in 3rd or 4th gear, going up a hill, and the rpm's were low, I could tell I didn't need to work the engine as hard to make it up the hill. That's the only thing I noticed. No real paperwork to back that up or anything, just personal experience.

It depends on the op's mods. When I ran n/a on my single cam vtec i had 421. The reason was because I wanted the low end so I would have the advantage and they could just play catch up. Another reason was because I had an upgraded manifold so my high end was just as great. Enough to do in some gsr's!

bottom line a 4-1 will make more peak power then a 4-2-1, but if u want more power down low (and i dont mean from 800 rpm to 3000 rpm, not that low) and are willing to sacrafice a few hp or peak power then a 4-2-1 is where its at.
