so the story is that i let somebody take my car out while i was passed out drunk. it comes back with a dead cylinder. its not the plug or wire. its internal. havent done a compression test yet. other then that what are all the steps or what im goin to have to do to fix it??? all possiblities and solutions please

Until you do a compression check you have no idea if it's internal or not.

Have you tried a new spark plug or pulled and looked at yours?
Pull the plug wire out see if it arc's on the plug holes edge?
Looked down in the cylinder for any major piston damage on top of it?

Your kinda being vague and we can't diagnose without you putting detailed description of whats happening.

i start my car and pull out the wire one by one every other wire makes it run crappier but the third from the left does nothing, so i checked the plug (replaced them twice) the first time i pulled the plug from that cylinder the tip of it was GONE!! burt off. then i checked the wire and it was good then i put the plug in the wire and checked the plug again and it was good. so what are all the other possibilities?? thats all i need to know justa list of em thx :talon: :thumb: :dsm: :laser: :thumbdown

and the story was also that the guy drivin was doin probably like 130 and then it started doin that so i dont think it can be one of my injectors seizing but is it possible? car went from fine to crap in seconds

Check to make sure it's sparking.. pull the wire off and hold it next to some metal and start the car.. if it's a deep socket ype plug then put a small screwdriver in it.. it should spark pretty good at idle. or you could put a spark plug in it and lay the plug so the outside is touching some metal on the car for ground and it will spark the plug. (put another plug in the cylinder though) if you have spark then you don't have fuel. in that case i'd pull the injector.. i'm not sure about your car but sometimes you can pull the injector enough to hold it over the hole while it's still hooked up and you can see if any fuel sprays out. If it was something internal you would at least still be getting some power out of the cylinder. are you sure it runs exactly the same wether the plug wire is connected or not?

so if it did spark then you are either getting no fuel or no air in that cylinder and i'm assuming it's fuel. there should be a fuel rail with injectors onit somewhere near or on the intake port. I don't have one of these cars yet i'm just trying to give you general advice on engine diagnostics

If it is one of the injectors, it should be a cheap fix. good luck on finding out whats wrong. next time make sure you pick a smarter DD :thumb:

checked out the injectors area and the only thing i could SEE with out pullin that shit apart was that the right most bolt on the fuel rail was almost gone (very loose) could that have been it im not sure yet but how do i check the injectors??

exact same thing happened to me $20 says you have like 35 compression on #3 dry...and try to look at your piston it might have a bunch of holes in it

Same thing happened to me, I mean i was the driver of my car and I was just seeing if I had a VSS, but I don't, LOL, as of right now i'm currently in the process of rebuilding my engine.. When I came off my 133mph high, I heard a whole lot of ticking and saw a whole lot of smoke, the more I drove the car the more the ticking went away but the smoke grew, I ran a compression test and found 7Psi,175psi,171psi,161psi, so I did a wet test and the compression jumped to a whopping 25psi, I think I burnt some valves in my 133mph trek, the spark plug in that dead cylinder was completely covered in oil too, so i'm goin to replace my piston rings, and take my head to get a valve job and get it milled. I will try and keep you updated on how my car turns out!
RUN A COMPRESSION TEST!!!!
