I'm replaing all the valve lash adjusters or lifters on my other eclipse, 99 GS-T (4G63T) which came with them stock. Both had the bigger oil ports in them. I was surprised. But I noticed the new lifters are taller than the OEM ones the car currently has. Is that normal? I dont know if it makes a difference but i'm worried that the extra length of the new lifters would push the valves out further and could leave them un-seated therefore coming in contact with the pistons. since it is an interference type engine it would maybe bend the valves. or even worse destroy the pistons. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
