3000gt airflow sensor

I have a brand new Stealth/3000gt airflow sensor just sitting around and I heard someone tell me I can use this part on a Tsi Talon and get more power. Is this true? if so is it easy to install or do you have to do alot of electrical work to make it run?? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I believe 2g's actually use the same mass airflow sensor as the 3000gt's.
Though the link would be beneficial if you're a 1g
