I have a GM Maf that i am waiting on to install. Is there anywhere that i can get directions on how to install it, and where is the best place to put it?

first of all you have to have a maft...

its a pretty simple concept... the maf you have reads how much air passes through that tube.... so all you need is to put that somewhere on your intake... and it will read it... this is why venting the bov hurts performance... because the amount of air that passes the maf isnt the same amount thats going in the engine... just make sure there arent any boost leaks between the head and the maf and youll be fine.... most people put it on the upper intercooler pipe, or the intake pipe... i have mine on the upper intercooler pipe... i had to buy a special upper intercooler pipe to allow me to do this..youll probably need one too... i also bought a new intake pipe, because i took the stock maf off (otherwise you gain nothing from adding a gm maf if you just leave the stock maf there...) so what your looking at is the gm maf (you have this already..), a maft, an intake pipe, and if you choose an upper intercooler pipe... o and an air filter...

Yes i have all the stuff needed to install it (MAF, MAFT). I just need to know where the wires go so that i can have it hook up and ready for my Custom Pipes.

what is the difference between the 3" and the 3.5" gm maf? I heard there was a tune needed after installation of the gm maf, is that correct?

yea theres a difference.... ones 3 inches and ones 3.5 inches....

as for tuning.. if you want to tune you can, your car will run better, but if you didnt want to, your car would run if you didnt tune it...

as for what it plugs into, it plugs into the stock wire, and the other wire is if you want to tune by rpm stages, its for more advanced tuners...

So i dont have to hook up the 2 extra wires comming off of it? I think one is white and the other Pink.

You know those little instructions in red above were you type in your thread that say things like.

"read the FAQ forum" and "do a keyword search"
