3" Exhaust vibration? Not sure if its o2 housing or downpipe?

I'm not sure y but my 3" meagn exhaust is rubbing the heat shield right under the drivers seat in my 2G GSX. The Car right now is running an evo3 16G, with a Meagn 02 housing not sure if maybe there is some fitment issues with the o2 or its the p.o.s. ebay downpipe that I'm using. Anyways any type of insight would be helpful thanx!

i would just bend the heat sheild away from the exhuast or just take it off all together. as long as nothing important is being rubbed or rubbing something else you should be okay with just moving/removing the heat sheild

you could also loosen your down pipe and see if you can get any rotation to clear heat sheild. There is usually a little bit of tolerance in the bolt holes.

the vibration is coming from i think the mid pipe of the exhaust and a friend of mine has the same car, same exhaust, and same turbo and it looks like my exhaust sticks out farther than his from the rear bumper.

More than likely the downpipe, it happens when you piece exhaust together from different companys. Try doing what sledge42hammer described or if you really want to go crazy, a megan racing downpipe will probably fix the problem best.

why don't you want to take off the heat shield?

loosen the downpipe and midpipe then make sure the heat shield is out of the way or just remove it,then make sure the harness from the down stream o2 is not just dangling around and is secure.you may need to slightly bend one of the hanger arms on the mid pip to center it.then bolt it all back up and you should be fine...i do think you might just have to bend a hanger to center the midpipe but still take the time to check everything....good luck
