ok I bought me a 96 eclipse gs and they have silicone the sunroof in because I guessing it leaked. Where can I get a seal on-line to replace the seal and have a sun roof again

Also check to make sure the sunroof drains are not clogged. There will be two running down into the a-pillars and two that run towards the back. I have noticed that in a quest to find a good sunroof glass, the metal frame surrounding the glass tends to rust out. If you see corrosion, I'd suggest locating a new glass piece since this will never seal properly anymore. This is, of course, assuming you have a factory installed sunroof.

When I did the seal on my 99, I had to sand and dremel the rust off of the metal frame. I put RustBullet on it, painted it, and put RTV on the metal lip before putting the rubber seal on. Just a suggestion if you replace your seal...

NeMiZiS thanks, that helped a lot. I meant the weather stripping around the glass but that link helped. The last owner just silicone the thing in. From what i could see there is no rust i took the headliner out when i got the car to see why it wasn't opening before I looked from the outside. And thanks for the tips I will surely check the drain plugs.

The sunroof is adjustable. As the seal wears out, it needs to be adjusted to fully seal. There are 6 torx screw (3 down each side) that need to be loosened. Then the height of the glass in the assembly can be adjusted. This may fix the leaking problem too. My sunroof would whistle at highway speeds before I fixed it.
