I grind hard every time I go into 2nd gear. My friend and I checked out the clutch cable and the ends (right above the tranny) is ripped, and I can actually wiggle both the cable. My friend thinks the cable will fix it, I think that my synchros are shot as well. How can I prove it? Also where can I get these synchros from?

The usual places like TRE, Shepracing, and BM tranny will have these for you. If you have not delt with the internals of a tranny before and this is the ploblem, I would send it out and get them to go ahead and rebuild it with some stronger parts. I believe the machining involved in that gear requires a skilled person that has done it several times.

I know you just put alot of shit in there so chances are you will just be putting more and more stress on the 2nd gear synchro. A rebuild would be better than getting everything in and then BWAMMM, tow truck for joo.

Fix the cable, check you slave/master on the tranny and then try some GOOD fluid. After that you are due to get a rebuild.

Good Luck!!
