Clueless 2G eclipse owner & new DSM member. I have a 1996 Eclipse RS, automatic trans - purchased from someone who has torn apart much of the wiring in the engine bay.

The connector for the Park/Neutral safety switch sensor has been cut off and I cannot find a replacement connector anywhere. I did find a universal connector that seems to fit/match the male part of the sensor, can I simply splice the cut wires onto a new connector? Forgive my ignorance if this is common sense.

Here is the link to the universal connector https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/.../automotive-car-1996-mitsubishi-eclipse?pos=4

The connector for the Trans Range Position sensor is there, but the wires have been cut as well and spliced back onto the connector. I don't trust that these are even the correct wires because of the ungodly amount of splicing and un-plug connectors dangling around, can someone PLEASE show me a picture or tell me the colors of the 3 wires for both the "Park/neutral safety switch" & the "Transmission Range Sensor".

I have scoured the electrical diagram manual and I just don't see it and/or know what I'm looking at. I don't know how it's even running since the neutral safety switch isn't even connected.
