420A 2GNT Purge valve location

Anybody know the purge valve location for a 1998 eclipse with the 420a motor? I was told it was next to the leak detection pump but I can't find it

That is going to depend what year model you have. 97-99 would be behind the front bumper on passenger side. 97 had a different part but in the same location. 96 was behind the fuel tank near the leak detection unit. I would assume 95 & 96 were in the same place, not sure if being OBDI would make a difference.

If you happen to need a replacement purge solenoid for a 98-99, I have one more I can send you. I had a few but Ebay did a good job at selling them.

Edit: I see you went back and added your year model. For a 1998 it will be behind the front bumper on the passenger side of the car. You can see and access it from underneath the car, though it's slightly easier with the bumper off. Check the electrical connector and bother vacuum hoses before assuming it's a bad unit.
