420A 2gnt motor=neon motor?

i heard some people say that a 2gnt is an espensive dodge neon but wheni look at a DOHC neon the engines were different? am i missing something or do they mean they are just very similer.

They're basically the same 420a motors. But their intake is where your exhaust manifold is and their exhaust manifold is where your intake manifold is. Also, I think that the regular neons comes in SOHC and the neon r/t comes in DOHC which is more like your 2g 420a motor.

Baseline neons and some neon sport sedans come with the SOHC engine. R/Ts, ACR's and Sport coupes come with the virtually the same DOHC engine as a 2gNT. However, on the neon then intake mani is in the front with the header in the back. Its also rated at 10hp more in the neon, so who knows.

well wouldnt that just make installing a header peachy . i havea 1g turbo though bro;-). family might be on the way so i was looking into a good car for that n such...

is the engine just rotated 180* or is it actually switched? i thought they were interchangeable and thought i heard a guy that pulled and engine out of a wrecked neon to use cuz it was cheaper than a full rebuild?
