is the fuse block on the interoir the same on all 2nd gen (95-99) n/a to turbo cars? cause my 98 TSi appartently spent sometime as a boat and sat in water. needless to say the fuse block is corroaded badly i've got a fuse block from my95 ESi parts car, they are idenical execept for the chim box which has a different connector. the 95 part number is MB920447. the one from the 98 is p/n MB954863. so i guess my question is do i even need the chim box/controller? i'm guessing no, but want to make sure. thanks for any help.

well after a few weeks trying to track one down, i have found out that what mitsubishi calls a chim module, is actually the bcm(body control module). and has been discountinuied and there is NO stock anywhere. so a used one has to be sourced. and they are rather hard to find. still waiting to hear back from a few dsmer's parting out there cars to see if they have the correct one( mitsu used a few different ones depending on year 95-01, model and options on FJ body chrysler cars--talon, avenger, sebring2dr). this has been a huge hassel and thought i would post this up, maybe it will help some others with this problem in the future.
