2g stock sunroof in 1 without 1

my gst doesnt have a sunroof i heard aftermarket ones are cheap and leak so i was going to buy a used factory one..how hard would it be to do it. i'd take it to a shop to do it. also can i get a aftermarket ones that looks and works like a factory one.meaning i can slide it back and just pop it open. friend had one on a mustang and it looked so cheap.. what would u guys recomend

My advice, go to a reputable ASE certified body shop, and get ready to spend some serious $$$$$. Spend more $$$$$ for an extended warranty. I know a Monte Carlo Sunroof cost 1100 including warranty.

shit i'll give them a thousand all day long to get one in my car.. should be cheaper if i have a stock one though right?

Makes no difference whatsoever. Same amount of work not counting the cost of the sunroof. You are probably better off going to a place that specializes in selling and installing aftermarket sunroofs. Chances are they've done enough of them and knows what they are doing.

If you go to a body shop that doesn't do this kind of stuff day in and day out... you may end up with a leaky roof... which is more headache than it's worth and absolutely not worth the kind of money it'll cost you.

One brand of aftermarket sunroof comes to mind... Hollandia. Do a search and you should be able to find the homepage which has a listing of certified dealers.
