2g Pistons, Oil Ring Lower Side Rail Install

For the life of me, I can't get these damn side rails to install into the bore... I'm using a ring compressor. I can install it upside down and get the compression rings to slide into the bore fine, but the stupid side rails keep slipping between the block and the ring compressor. Anyone have any tips or have trouble with getting them in.? Everything is in spec, and I can't believe something this silly is keeping me from getting my motor back together.

Side rails?
Are you sure the ring compressor is compressing the rings enough?
When I have trouble with putting pistons in, I have someone else use a straight edge
and put it ontop of the ring compressor opposite side of the handle and help me keep it
level. I also use a pen sometimes you'll succeed.



P.S. Im sorry if I missunderstood your post, were you having difficulty putting the
oil rings on the piston?
