okay so my girlfriend with good intentions gets me 2g pistons for my 1g eclipse i run a turbo and im soon to be getting a t3 t4 and she thought with the lower 8.5-1 id be able to run higher boost but now i read up a lil bit about them and i have to bore my rods 5 thousands okay dose this seam a lil riskey i mean i dont wana break a rod now i went to a matchin shop and my dads a took and die maker and they seam fine with it i duno what to do ???:dsm:

If you have a 92 your compression is 7.8 not 8.5 thats on the 95+ cars. It is true that with lower compression you can run more boost but you make more power with less boost with higher compression pistons
