2g pistons need rod boring????

okay so my girlfriend with good intentions gets me 2g pistons for my 1g eclipse i run a turbo and im soon to be getting a t3 t4 and she thought with the lower 8.5-1 id be able to run higher boost but now i read up a lil bit about them and i have to bore my rods 5 thousands okay dose this seam a lil riskey i mean i dont wana break a rod now i went to a matchin shop and my dads a took and die maker and they seam fine with it i duno what to do ???

If you have a 92 your compression is 7.8 not 8.5 thats on the 95+ cars. It is true that with lower compression you can run more boost but you make more power with less boost with higher compression pistons

To put 2g pistons on 1g rods, you need to bore the wrist pin 1mm and narrow the pin end .100 . It would be worth it though.
