I have currently gutted the interior except the headliner (actually in mint condition) and the dashboard. The interior was originally Tan with black trim, but I am coloring all the faded/stained plastic trim to black…. Using Fusion Satin Black with great results. I have removed all past wiring add ins (audio amp, hands free phone system, underglow lighting) and the car is now back to all original wiring.

The dash and interior harness is wired for all the possible options (Infinity Radio System, Fog Lights, Electric mirrors), but the doors and engine harness do not have the options wired in…

Just got my power antenna installed, will get it wired in this weekend…. Also have my Head Unit (Sony XAV-AX150) and backup camera ready to install once I get all the wiring put in place.

I modified the original antenna mast mount, by cutting about a 1/4” off the bottom aluminum shaft. This allowed for the install to look almost stock.

So, I decided to try coloring my carpet instead of buying new. My old carpet is in good shape, but was just really dirty. I will add pictures of the whole process as I complete them. I started with the rear cargo deck since I already cleaned it.

This is the beginning photo. It had been replaced before so is a dark gray instead of beige like the rest of the carpet.

This is the finished product. I used Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric specialty coating. After each light coating, I used a carpet brush in order to keep the carpet supple.

So, am working on my switches today. Originally, the car had cruise control, but the switch was broke. The dash harness was already wired for fog lights and electric mirrors, it was just a matter of locating the plugs hidden in the dash.

I ordered all 3 switches from Gallant665 and I received them today. They were in excellent condition and he even threw in the switch bezel. So, here they are installed. Thanks again Gallant665 for your swift service.

Geez, installing a back up camera is a pain. Finally got the rear bumper off and the camera installed. Now just the pain of reinstalling the bumper.

So, today I installed my door and rear speakers, ran all the wiring for my amp, back-up camera, speakers, and powered antenna. And I also got the first coat of dye on my interior carpet completed.

Had already started when I remembered to take a picture, but in hindsight it really shows the contrast of before and after.

If you need a new one, I have one of these in absolutely mint condition for sale.

Been a while since I updated, but have gotten a lot done. Have rebuilt my rear suspension, refinished my rims, have been working on refinishing my hood. I have replaced my coolant overflow tank, installed a new windshield washer tank and pump, as well as, a few other projects.

I hand stitched the vinyl for the back seat bottom cushion shown in the above pics. Cut the old cloth cover apart and used it as a template…. Adhered a thin foam sheet to the back of the vinyl to prevent stretching, etc. will be doing the seat back soon.

Had to replace an Upper Knuckle bushing on my right rear suspension…. Upgraded to Polyurethane 2 piece bushings…. Work great and SOOOOOO much easier to install. Also replaced the Strut Coil Insulators on rear struts to get rid of the bumping noise when I hit a bump. Car rides like new now, and will get even better as I replace the rest of the suspension bushings.

Sorry, it has been awhile since I have updated this thread. I have accomplished a lot since my last post and will be updating the thread soon. Some it will be very exciting to some of our members, as I have figured out how to change out the ill conceived FLASHER/HAZARD MODULE with a single LED Flasher Relay and everything works perfectly (No more Hyperflash EVER). I have even gone so far as redraw the schematics for the Turn Signal, Hazards, and Brake light system with the new LED Flasher setup. So as soon as I get my pictures sorted, I will start posting all of my work. See ya'll soon.

Hey everyone, sorry for the long wait. Weather has been horrible and so has my work schedule. This past weekend, I was finally able to get back to work on my EDM Tail Light upgrade. I got everything wired and when I tested it. I had the Low and High swapped on my turn signals, so when I turned on my headlights, I had no rear flashers. Hahahaha. Swapped the wires around and everything works perfect with the newly installed EP34 Electronic Flasher Relay..... Yay!!!!!! no more funky Flasher module that controls brakes, hazards, and turn signals. I will be soon uploading pictures, updated wiring diagrams, and instructions on how to delete that old monstrosity that everyone loves so much. Now working on getting my newly installed electric side mirrors with defrost circuit wired in. I will supply info on it as well in my upcoming posts.
