Would it possible to use Autometer Cobalt gauges in place of the stock ones? I plan on doing a 4g63 swap, and I like the look of the gauges.

For the speedo, If i discarded the old one, would I be able to use the Cobalt gauge in its place, kinda like a stand alone speedo?

Thanks, Tim Klein

you cant take each gauge out seperately due to the circuit board on the back. But im sure you can either take out the entier gauge assemply and move it somewhere else and run the wires to the same place, or mold the gauges on in front of the stock ones

nevermind, you have a 1g haha

You can do it, but you will need to use the circuit board, cut the holes in it and run wire from one side to the other to connect the traces. I know it doesn't sound right but keep looking for it on this and other dsm forums it is on one of them. It was a red 1g with all autometer phantom guages in place of the stockers, the speedo even had an odometer in it.
