Hey Guys! I was wondering if anybody knew of a good way to clean the clear plastic covering the speedo and other gauges. Mine is relatively blurry and has streaks in it. Thanks!

scrubbing and aluminum polish? just like how you would clean your headlights after they turn yellowish.

Apparently the previous owner of my car was a smoker, because I used to have ash stains all over my windshield. Unfortunately, there still are stains on the cluster cover. I've tried many different cleaning/polishing products, including Meguiar's Plastic Polish, to no avail.

If you can't get it clean with commercial cleaning supplies, you can actually purchase one through the dealer for about $20.

If it were me i'd try sanding the stains out....kinda like sanding a layer off of a piece of metal then buff it shiny again. But either way its ONLY 20 bucks...

I'm surprised the stealership doesn't make you pay for the whole damn dash and a windshield!!!

Actually, I was kind of surprised they didn't make me buy all that too!

I thought about giving the cluster cover the "yellowed headlight" treatment, but you're right, it's only $20 for a new one, and probably $2 for a used one from the junkyard... I just haven't gotten around to buying a new one.

This might be a 1G question only, but how do you guys get the trip odometer button out when installing a new one?

I use dexron 3 transmission fluid on when my plastics get foggy I cleaned up a foggy headlight last night and sold it and the customer complimented it
