I am just wondering if it can be done without a problem....are the motor mounts on the motor in the same place? I know i would have to use the 7 bolt flywheel and clutch and change over the sensors from the 6 bolt.

The reason for asking is because my 6 bolt is VERY tired. And i can get the 7 bolt with 45k for free (my buddy rolled his 97 spyder).

No the front and rear motormounts are located on the transmission instead of the block like in a 1g.

Do the mounts bolt on? Couldn't i swap the mounts from the 6 bolt to the 7 bolt?

The 6 bolt has the mounts on the engine, the 7 bolt has them on the transmission. There is no place to bolt them up. You would have to fabricate mounts

exactly.....it would only be for a month or two while i rebuilt my 6 bolt, but since it can't be done...

I talked to my brother, and he said he could fab up the mounts for the front and rear mounts.

What else would i need to swap over from the 1g block/head besides cas, power transistor/coils, and knock sensor.

Will my 1g awd trans bolt up to the block?

Swap time is coming very soon. Can someone confirm that all i will need to do is fab up mounts and swap the 1g sensors over to the 2g motor/head?
