2g Megan 3"exhaust not bolting up to 6 bolt swap

Ok here's my issue I have a 95 gsx that I'm doing a 6 bolt swap in as we speak and I'm using a stock o2 housing and my 2g exhaust is not lining up is there a adaptor or something I can do to make my 2g exhaust fit my 6 bolt motor....?? I've looked and looked any advice is helpful this is my first motor swap.

there should be no reason why your exhaust is not bolting up to you o2 housing.
unless you used a gst oil pan instead of a awd pan. ... the lay out on both the 2g and 1g gsx is not different enough to not let it bolt up... i did one my self and my exhaust (not stock) bolted just fine.

Yea I think I'm just gonna have to work over alittle this swap has just been giving me problem after problem. The the kid I bought the donor '90 gsx from tore the thing apart and put it back together all half ass and let it sit, so its been quite an adventure I'm not sure about the oil pan...should I get a aftermarket o2 housing that has a 3" flange for my exhaust or is there, some kind of adaptor ? cause the housing is stock and they obviously don't fit together

so what you are saying is that the flange of you exhaust is 3 inches and not reduced to 2.5 inches like most are?
if so then you need have a different flanged welded on because i dont know of any mitsu o2 housing that has a 3inch outlet.

if you can post a picture it might help out.

was the 90 donor car a gsx or gst?

The donor is a 90 gsx, and I have done some searching and there are a couple companies out there that make an dsm o2 flange 2.5" to 3" so I believe that issue will resolved ill post pictures tomorrow

Kinda hard to see, but it looks like I could just shove it over but the exhaust has no moment at all and the o2 housing is angled sideways so it just kind of a stupid problem..but the exhaust is still bigger than the o2 housing, the kid I bought it from just jerry rigged it on there

the megan 3" downpipe is 2.5" at the o2 housing and tappers into 3". what i had to do is take my downpipe to a muffler shop and they had to cut my downpipe and reweld it because the downpipe wouldnt sit flush with my o2 housing.

I had a 95 gsx as well and bought a meagan downpipe. It was not by ant means going to fit. i checked all the numbers so i just took it to an exhaust shop and he cut off the flange, re welded it, and installed it for 60buck.. My problem was it hit the oil pan.

That's not an Evo3 o2 housing is it? If it is then the flange on the DP needs to be cut and rewelded at the Evo3s angle. If you compare the DSM o2 housing and the Evo3 housing you'll see the difference.
