My buddy is a ECU guy and he is curently working on something and he asked me to find down at what Hz level does the 2g mas get overrun.

Thanx,

T

I'm not sure where it gets overrun at but when I had mine in my 1g I would get max readings of 1603hz but thats only because the logger can't read any higher so who knows how high it really got to.

Well I was wrong. Asked my brother and he said he is hitting around 1900hz and says it over runs about 2800hz. Sounds high to me but he has researched it many times.

That's pretty much right on. Somewhere around 2700-2800 with a completely unhacked sensor. If you take out the side honeycombs you could get it up to around 3000.

I feel that it's closer to 3000hz. I've hit over 2700 on my completly stock 2g mas and have never had a problem.

Wouldn't using an Safc affect the numbers?

Just curious, does anyone know how to convert from Hz to cubic feet per minute? I'm thinking there should be a relationship between the two since the Hz signal is generated by the volume airflow sensor portion of the MAS. Thanks.

I also have pushed 2800hz without issues.
Now you have to remember that temps will effect the readings but the math for converting Hz to cfm is "CFM=0.2481hz".
Hope that helps

Thanks for the info!:thumb:

I have reached 2200 on my 2g. No issues there.

So after the 2g mass hz limit is reached, does it start fuel cutting again?

I can only answer by information available in logs that show this happening. It doesn't "fuel-cut", but what happens is if airflow volume increases, the computer does not see this so it no longer adds fuel to compansate. So you lean out. As far as the ECM is concerned, no more air added = no more fuel added.
