2g maf with TMO

Hi everybody, i plan on aquiring the 550cc injectors in the coming weeks, however currently i have a 2g MAF without the cbv attachment, is it absolutely a must to have my CBV on the 2g maf (remember no gm maf for atmospheric venting) ? because it would make life way simpliar to just vent to the atmosphere

also since i have the tmo chip installed, would just getting the 550cc injectors with the 2g maf compensate for an air fuel controller like a SAFC? just for a little while until i get it?
