Ok the car this is going into is a 92 auto awd. I bought a maf translator for really cheap and would like to install it into my 1g. The Translator has a 2g plug on it and my car is still the stock 1g setup. Now local it will be hard to find a plug to make it just plug in so i would like to just hard wire it in. I have looked at the stock diagrams for a 1g plug and a diagram for a translator. what im not under standing is ther is 5 on the translator and 7 on the 1g harness. so what do i do ? a direct wiring diagram would be the best but any info would help.

1g Maf harness

1 - Idle position switch
2 - Air flow sensor
3 - MPI control relay
4 - 5V power supply for sensors
5 - None
6 - Ground for sensors
7 - Barometric pressure sensor
8 - Intake air temp sensor

2g maf translator wires

1 - Barometric pressure
2 - Translator signal
3- 12v power
4- Ground
5- Air Temp signal
6- Rpm Signal wire ( separate from the 2g plug part )

I get the Barometric pressure will go with the Barometric pressure. I Get the Air temp with air temp. I understand the rpm has to go to transistor or ecu pin.

What i dont get is Were does maft ground go ? to the Ground for sensors off the 1g harness side?

Were does translator Signal go ?

Can the 12v power just come off any 12v power?

What do i do with
1 - Idle position switch
2 - Air flow sensor
3 - MPI control relay
4 - 5V power supply for sensors

Sorry for going on and on. But the short question is How do i hard wire a 2g maf translator onto a 1g stock harness car . NOT A 2G MAF this is a 2g maf translator for a gm maf setup. Thanks for anyhelp i get. i would really love just a basic hey stupid this wire goes here type of help :):thumb:

No sorry it kinda didn't for hooking it up but it did for how to tune it and troubleshoot it tho so thanks .

1 blink - in RPM mode, No RPM signal
2 blinks – no MAF signal
3 blinks – Internal Flash memory problem.
4 blinks – dial or switch problem
5 blinks – internal program problem
6 blinks – problem with saved settings.
