I was wondering what sort of fitment issues and install problems I would run into if I tried to put a 2g Intercooler kit into my 92. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this before, or has installed both 1g and 2g intercoolers enough to know the difference, as I have only installed 1g 'coolers before.

I want an intercooler that bolts up to stock placement upper and lower IC pipes. All of the same-side exit IC kits for the 1g are top to bottom flow. The only side to side flow kits I've seen with a same side piping setup are for the 2g. I'm not interested in short-route piping, as I have installed this on several cars, and I just don't like working on the car as much with the piping this way.

Any help or information is appreciated.

in my oppinion it would not be worth it the piping if you did it yourself would cost you a couple hundred bucks you can get a johny racecar for that much
