Does the 2g non-turbo engine the 4g63 I was wondering if i bout an RS or GS if I could put a 4g63t in it and if the tranny would matchup. I read somewhere that the 420a and 4g63 engines don't match up to the tranny the same?

They differ greatly. It takes extensive modification/fab work to make it work. Get a gs-t or gsx if you want a 4g63t. :thumb:

The trannies are as different as the engines.

The swap is just too much work/money. The engine mounts and the cross brace are all in different locations as well.

Much better to just go buy a turbo car if you want the 4G63.

If you get a GS-T though, it's not as hard to do an AWD conversion later.

one last questions does the talon tsi have the 420a in it or what

and iknow the 7 bolt is prone to crnackwalk but whatis the diffrence between 6 bolt and 7 bolt

gs-t = tsi
gsx = tsi AWD

Both of which have the 4g63t in them.

The 7 bolt is more prone to crankwalk but don't let it scare you. the 7/6 bolt refers to number of bolts on the flywheel.
6 bolt came in 92.5 and older.
7 botl came in 92.5 and newer.

6 bolt throttle body is bigger (60mm compared to 7 bolt 52mm)
6 bolt has better flowing head vs stock 7bolt due to bigger valves but 7 bolt has better velocity due to better engineering.
6 bolt rods are bigger and stronger, 7 bolt pistons are better.
6 bolt has a lower compression ratio ( 6 bolt - 7.8:1 compared to 7 bolt - 8:1)

Any more questions?
