Hello All:

I'm interested in purchasing/installing a coilover kit for my 2g spyder. To those of you who have knowledge in this area, do your coilovers allow you adjust ride height? And if so, what range? I would like to be able to adjust from at (or possibly slightly above if possible) stock ride height and would like to be able to lower up to 2" below stock ride height. I know it depends on the coilover, but does anyone have a setup that allows them to do what I'm wanting?

I've noticed that certain people with coilovers also use aftermarket springs or shocks. Why do this? Do they just prefer a certain spring or shock over what comes with the coilover? I only ask this because I thought that a fully adjustable coilover includes both the spring and shock.

Thanks,

I have Omni power coilovers and I can easily adjust in the range you described. Im assuming people with coilovers who talk about changing the dampners have cheap 'piggy-back' coilovers that fit on stock type dampners. Changing springs on coilovers is only done via springs from the coilover manufacturer as they are ushually sized to their design.

Basicly most quality coilover kits will suit your needs just fine.
