 I have a squeak when I press the clutch in and out coming from under the hood. Any ideas????? I have not had a chance to chase the squeak down yet but will soon. All help is apprieciated. :dsm:

i was havin that problem still do not sure if its the same thing but it was a belt that when i put the clutch in and shifted to first the motor would move and it would squeak a belt

Well I know that it is not a belt. I think that it is somewhere in the shift fork or TOB or something. Thanks for your input though. Hope you get yours fixed. Any other ideas?:thumb:

I have a squeak that comes when I press the clutch in, and it is air leaking from my BOV. I have a modded 1g BOV, I couldn't tell if you had one or not. It also happens after I take my foot off the accelerator.

My car will do it when it is off or on so I know that it is not my BOV. Thanks though! Any other thoughs?

My master cylinder would squeak when it was on it's way out. Keep an eye on your clutch fluid level and take a look at your master and slave cylinders to make sure they are not dying on you.

Thanks I have a brand new slave but not a master I will check them. Thank you.

On topic, I had a pedal squeak and my master and slave were fine. A little lithium grease on the underside of the pedal assembly worked wonders.

Cheers,

Do you have a pic of where exactly to lube?

The way that I found the joint to lube is by feeling (for vibration and friction) while somebody was pressing on the pedal.

Reviving this thread....

I kind of have the same problem, nothing happens when i push the pedal in or out with out putting it in gear. but when i put it in first and am letting off the clutch and giving it gas, right at about the top of the clutch, it squeaks for seconds like right between having the foot off the clutch about 90% and gas is slightly pushed in.

wtf???
