Well I'm trying to get my new motor ready to go into my car. The new engine I have has the cam angle sensor plate on the cam gear. My original engine had the CAS on the opposite side. My problem is, I don't know which way the sensor needs to go. The picture posted is of a 1g cas, the back side of the 2g is similar. The 2g one doesn't have the marks to line up. On the opposite side there are plates that pass in front of the sensor, they are different sizes which means that is will only work one way. I hope someone knows what I am talking about. If you think that pictures will help you, let me know, I will try to take some tomorrow.
Also, how can you adjust timing on a 2g. From reading vfaq it looks like you could only do it on the 1g with the 1g cas. On the 2g it looks to only be possible with adjustable cam gears. Is this correct. If not could someone please give me step by step directions for adjusting base timing. Thank You.
