2g Brake Rotors and Assembly ???

I have searched and searched on this, and there is always room for error. I have just recently bought Brembo cross drilled/slotted rotors, oem brake pads, and a new hub assemblies for my Talon. Now, I know the back rotors are solid, and the front ones are vented, and the sizes for the rear are 10.5", and the front ones, yeah, the people I bought the rotors from say they are 12", but on the comparison sheets here they say 11", and I have even asked some other companies, even Brembo, and they say 12" too? Is that enough clearance for the entire brake assembly, like the rotor contact to the pistons? Or the Hub assembly matching all the patterns? Or what? I am not sure, but I just recently got them, and they are under warranty for one year, with any defects or warping. Well, I am still contemplating on installing them and breaking them in, but the CORRECT sizes will help me out a lot. And anyone elses experiences with installing new brakes, rotors, and assemblies will help me out too. Thanks...

I have just asked another manufacturer, they said between the 97's-99's, they changed the rotors sizes to 12", whereas the 97's have 11" in the front, and 10.5" in the rear. 98-99 they said they up the sizes a whole inch. But I wonder why they sell for the Talon's 95-97's and for the eclipses 95-99's. I am still confused. I know DSM's are exactly the same, except cosmetic differences. So, should I give them back or buy the ones for the 98 GSX instead of the 98 TSi? Any help would be appreciated....

I'd try PM'ing either wret or Jtoby with this one since they're very well versed when it comes to breaks and suspension (amongst other things).

93+ AWD DSM's got "big brakes"; 10.8 inches. All 89-92's and non-AWD models of all years got 10 inch rotors.

The rule of thumb when calculating rotor/wheel clearance is that the wheel diameter should be 4" larger than the rotor. It is likely that one could fit a 16" wheel over a 12" rotor.

...and it's "brakes", not "breaks." At least we hope they don't. Andy

Okay, I have 17" rims, my Enkei GF1's, and the clearance should fit, especially if they jump them up to 12". Thanks Wret and Andy, I just needed the closure on that....
