Ok so years I go I did new bushings in the rear subframe ect and the installer “had to” burn out the bushings in the top of the knuckles

At some point I went for an alignment and the car was driving straight

Then I noticed that the camber in the rear wheels looked stanced despite this

For a long time I tired to figure out why sometimes I thought the young kid at Firestone that did my car thought I might like it stanced LOL

Looking through my notes I figured out the bushings were missing in the knuckles and so I had all 6 replaced with oem ones

This fixed the camber issue on the drivers side but not the passenger side which I forget to mention was always worse like it looks bad

I’ve also replaced the upper arms and the shocks back there

So then the other day I bring it back to Firestone for an alignment I had gotten the lifetime alignment

This was years later and you’ll never guess that I got the same exact young kid that “aligned” my car. I really wish I hadn’t went to Firestone smh after talking to him he admits that his car is “stanced”

Lol can’t make this shit up

So then I talk to the service writer and they say they can’t fix my car because it needs adjustable Lower control arms to fix my camber ?

Which makes zero sense because i am very slightly lowered like 1 inch and like I’ve said the driver side is good so there must be something WRONG (and I’m trying to find the problem) with the passenger side as I know these cars don’t have camber adjustment in the rear

Although I can’t help but think somehow this kid figured out how to stance it all these years ago

So what’s my problem ?

There is truth to the camber not being adjustable. What you can do is purchase shims for the upper control arms. All this can be purchased on RockAuto, and likely elsewhere.

No one can say for sure what this kid did or did not do, but if the camber is not freely adjustable then what could he have done? Look for aftermarket hardware maybe.

There will always be a natural negative camber change when lowering these cars. Is it possible that you did not notice the change immediately after spring installation, but then springs later settled and revealed the camber near the time of alignment? That's what I can figure.

How far out of spec is that passenger side? Firestone/Bridgestone is supposed to give you a print out of the alignment specs everytime they check or perform and alignment (I was employed there once).

It's concerning when you say "bushings were missing". Were there literally no bushings present at all? How does that happen?

They didn’t give me the spec sheet like they were supposed to but they said it that one wheel was off by 3 degreees the other wheel is in spec

I’m sure adjustable LCAs would fix my probelm but if it’s not the LCAs itself then it’s just a bandaid and once I put thoose I’ll never find the real problem

I’d like to find the real problem even if I have to buy parts twice along the journey

I’m kinda think maybe it’s just the bushings in the LCA but I know nothing about suspensions or alignments

I thought to my self if the bushing was bad in the LCA maybe that would allow the bottom of the wheel to come out further

****ing paid money to figure out the probelm and they kinda just rush everyone in that shop to get to the next customer kinda heated rn

At least I have the lifetime so when I figure it out they can tell me I did a good job LOL
