2g 6 bolt swap guys...need ur help plz.

All the spark plugs on my 6bolt 2g got pulled out (from motor and coil packs)

the standard way to wire em on the vfaq didnt obviously; i got the car to somewhat run, but it misfires REALLY bad now.....

imagine that cylinder #4 is the cylinder closest to the passanger seat and #1 closest to drivers.....

Coil Pack #1 is the plug closest to the front bumper and #4 is closest to the driver seat....


what plugs go where? plz help.

Where are you getting your crank signal from? Are you using a 1g CAS? If you are how did you wire it in? Depending on how you wired it you may have to change where the ignition wires plug into the coil since the signal has been inverted.

im not sure how it is wired, i didnt do the job myself.


could u just tell me what the 2 patterns are? ill try from trial and error thru that.

Ok, I'm looking at your first post again and I really don't know what you are having trouble with. Are you wondering where the ignition wires plug into to coil? If so, looking at the coil from left (passenger side) to right (driver side) the wires plug in this order: 4,1,2,3. If you need a reference the 4th cyl is the one on the tranny side and the 1st cyl is the one on the timing belt side of the engine.

Also, are you using a 1g cas or did the dude that did your swap modify the front cover to use the 7-bolt style crank senser? This is important to know b/c (like I said above) it will effect the phasing of the igntion signal(s). If you don't know what I'm talking about, the 1g CAS is a round senser attached to the left end of the intake cam with 4 wires coming up out of the top of it. Do you have one of these?

i believe i am still using the 1g CAS and the 1g coil packs...i get the nice CEL reminding me everyday of my 6 bolt...when the plugs were in b4, the misfire would only occur under 3+psi..now it misfires even under cruise.

Ok, try this first to see if it helps...since we don't know how the cas is wired in. Swap Plugs 1 and 4 with 2 and 3. If that doesn't help with your craziness, this webpage will give you more info on things you can do to trouble shoot. Magnus help
